Sydney's Kelvinator Air Conditioning Experts

Kelvinator air conditioners have been around since the late 1940s, and they’re still popular in Sydney homes. They were initially installed in just domestic homes but are now found everywhere, including commercial units for large buildings such as hotels and office complexes. Kelvinator air con units vary from affordable to high-end, with many options available depending on your budget. There is also a wide range of colours to choose from. Some common features include: Variable speed control – This allows you to turn down or up the fan speed at will without turning off the unit entirely. You can adjust it so that the temperature stays constant even if there’s a power outage. Thermostat controls – Many people like having thermostats located inside their rooms instead of outside, where they’ll be exposed to cold temperatures during winter months or hot weather during summer. These allow you to set different temperatures within each room. Remote access capability – With this feature, you can program the remote into any number of keypads, making programming much easier. It may not seem important until you realise how difficult it was before these came along! Many newer models offer wireless capabilities making things even more convenient. Energy efficiency – Most modern units come equipped with energy-saving technology, allowing you to save money by reducing electricity usage. In addition, most new models are Energy Star certified, meaning they meet specific standards designed to reduce energy consumption. Interested in what a Kelvinator air conditioner installation could do for your Sydney property? Get in touch with Alliance Climate Control to get the ball rolling.

Kelvinator Split System Air Conditioning

Split System

The Kelvinator split system is one of the most popular air con systems due its ease of use and versatility. Unlike window type systems which require opening windows when cooling and closing them when heating, the Kelvinator split system air conditioner uses two separate components; one for each function. This makes the operation far less complicated than other types of air conditioning.

There are three main types of split systems you’re likely to come across: single-phase, dual-phase and triple-phase. All three types of split systems operate similarly except for the way they distribute air.

A single-phase split system air conditioner works best when cooling smaller areas. For example, a bedroom would benefit greatly from a Kelvinator single-phase system. Because all the heat generated by the compressor goes through the same evaporator coil, the entire space gets heated or cooled evenly. As long as the airflow isn’t too strong, the whole room will stay comfortable.

Dual-phase split system air conditioning units work well in larger spaces such as living areas because they feature multiple evaporator coils, with each coil serving its own purpose. The three coil design helps provide angled airflow to different parts of the room. This puts less stress on individual coils trying to cool or heat larger rooms, meaning better airflow with less energy consumption and fewer maintenance visits.

Triple phase split system air conditioners work great in larger homes. Kelvinator triple-phase systems effectively prevent cold spots in rooms where there are high ceilings or low windows. Unlike other split systems, triples don’t rely on the position of doors or windows. Instead, they use fans to circulate warm air around the corners of your room. Triple phase systems typically require a higher initial investment that will save you in the long run, with reduced running costs and avoiding the need to upgrade systems.

The hardest part of getting efficient Kelvinator split system air conditioning into your Sydney home is deciding what system is best for you. Thankfully these two daunting tasks are something that the team at Alliance Climate Control are more than happy to help with.

One of our experienced team members can come down, assess your home and help you determine the best system for your home and budget. Once you give the go-ahead, we can install the system ourselves, leaving you to sit back and enjoy your new air conditioning.

FAQs: Kelvinator Air Conditioner Installation Sydney

A Kelvinator air conditioner is more than a machine; it’s an investment in comfortability for your home or business for years to come. A Kelvinator air conditioning system is one of the best ways to provide consistent and powerful cooling through the harsh Sydney summers.

When properly installed, a Kelvinator will generate consistent, clean airflow with minimal servicing required. But without proper installation, they can be a money sink, requiring more frequent repairs and maintenance due to poor workmanship.

The best way to avoid this? Proper installation from your local professionals. Here at Alliance Climate Control, we provide Kelvinator air conditioning installation in Sydney and the surrounding areas. With decades of experience, our team of licensed technicians can help no matter the model or installation location.

Give us a call today to book an obligation-Upfront Quote on your new air con installation.

When Is The Best Time To Install A Kelvinator Air Conditioner?

As air conditioning specialists, our team at Alliance Climate Control find ourselves busiest during the summer and winter months. While you could get a Kelvinator air conditioner installed when it’s hottest or coldest, you’re much better off choosing the in-between seasons of spring and autumn to get your system installed.

Doing so means you won’t be waiting as long, and you’ll have plenty of time to get your Kelvinator air conditioner installed, working and test it out a bit before it puts in the heavy work during those harsher seasons.

What Size Kelvinator Air Conditioner Do I Need?

Finding the right Kelvinator air conditioner for your home or office isn’t always a straightforward answer. The simple fact is, a lot of things will impact your decision. The number of people in the building, the temperature of your area, your budget, the height of your ceilings, and the number of rooms you need are all contributing factors.

The best way to decide on the right Kelvinator air conditioner for you is to talk to an expert. At Alliance Climate Control, we have been installing Kelvinator units for years, so we have plenty of experience. We will be able to sit down with you, find out a bit about your situation, and recommend the perfect system based on your needs.

FAQs: Kelvinator Air Conditioner Servicing and Maintenance Sydney

Kelvinator air conditioners are built to last. As one of the longest-lasting air conditioning brands, you can relax knowing that they won’t constantly be breaking down on you. But the best way to keep them lasting as long as possible is regular servicing and maintenance.

Here at Alliance Climate Control, we provide Kelvinator air conditioning servicing in the Sydney area. If you need Kelvinator maintenance, be sure to chat with one of our friendly team members today.

How Often Does My Kelvinator Air Conditioner Need To Be Serviced?

The general rule of thumb is you should have your Kelvinator air conditioner serviced every year. You should also service it more frequently than that if you run it constantly and if it’s an older system.

Of course, if you are unsure whether or not your Kelvinator air conditioner needs to be serviced, the team at Alliance Climate Control are happy to have a chat and let you know if you’ll need servicing sooner than that.

When Does My Kelvinator Air Conditioner Need To Be Regassed?

You actually don’t need to get your Kelvinator air conditioner regassed ever! Contrary to what you may have heard, regassing an air conditioner is not a task that needs to be done every few years. Because of the refrigerant gas composition, it’s actually illegal to add more to an air conditioner yourself or for a contractor to do so without good reason.

The only time your Kelvinator air conditioner will need to be regassed is when it has insufficient amounts of refrigerant gas caused by a leak. If your Kelvinator air conditioner has a gas leak, be sure to call us here at Alliance Climate Control right away!

I am very happy to support a local business, especially when they go "above and beyond" in customer service and professionalism, from Chris doing the quote, the office team handling the booking (thank you so much for bringing my job forward!), and the install team, Dragan, Cristian and Miguel, who consulted with me at every step and paid attention to the finer details, like plumbing in both discharge pipes to the downpipe a couple of metres away. Great job, thank you boys!

I have had an amazing experience from start to finish. We first met James who walked us through the different models and what was possible for our unit. James also was very efficient with the necessary paperwork required for strata approval. In regards to the installation Dzagan, Christian and Harry were amazing and did a great job with installing and cleaning up!. I also loved the fridge magnet that doubles as a bottle opener. Great experience and would recommend to anyone.

I could not be happier with the installation of our ducted heating and cooling system, right in time for the hot summer season. All the options were clearly explained and Liam was great at providing his expert recommendations. The job was scoped and booked in quickly considering the time of year. A truly professional, courteous and efficient team did the install, thank you so much Vy, Shabi, Miguel, Benjamin, Peter and Vash. Everything was seamlessly coordinated with minimal disruption, including electrical work. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!

I recently had my old ducted air conditioning system replaced by Alliance Climate Control. It was an excellent experience from initial contact right through to installation completion, with the company's focus on quality solutions and service very apparent. I am absolutely thrilled with my new system and highly recommend Alliance Climate Control. For those interested in more detail...The original ducted air conditioning system installed when my house was built had been inoperable for a few years, had needed extensive maintenance while it was working, and never really performed satisfactorily when temperatures were outside a moderate range. The orientation of my house with respect to the summer sun, the use of specific rooms, and a fair quantity of heat-generating gear added a special twist to my requirements.Goran and Jake clearly took these requirements and my priorities fully into consideration in the solution they designed, as typical setups like the original just do not work for me. With a dual system required the cost was obviously higher than a single system so they also provided a less expensive alternative, but ultimately I decided on the premium solution as the ability to operate effectively, without restriction, on both the hottest days and coldest nights was important to me. Goran's help in finalising this was greatly appreciated. It was a three-day installation, starting in near-40-degree temperatures and ending in pouring rain, but the team worked hard to ensure the installation was completed on time. The core installation team of Andres, Ivan and Benjamin were fantastic, and were there for all three days including the whole of the final extremely long day. Other Alliance team members attended at various times throughout the installation as needed. Everyone was friendly, professional, and clearly took pride and care in their work. There were a few hurdles during the installation which the team took in stride: as the customer it definitely felt like ensuring I was happy was the priority.I was impressed with the care they took, for example when manouvering bulky equipment around my house, double-checking that things were storm-safe after the initial work in the roof, protecting nearby surfaces when cutting holes in the ceiling, meeting my super-pedantic requirements for positioning equipment... even wrangling manufacturer-faulty ceiling grilles so I would not be bothered by their out-of-alignment appearance for the few days until they were replaced. They also cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day's work. The new systems are amazingly quiet, both inside and outside, easy to control, and very effective in the limited use they've had so far. I'm actually looking forward to a stinking hot day to truly bask in the contrast, and in the meantime am happily enjoying how much more comfortable my house is.

Very happy with this service! Organising the callout was super convenient, the team were very patient and explained everything very clearly. I was able to call back and easily arrange a service after double checking with other providers. Raj was really helpful during the callout, he went immediately into work and fixed my old ducted system and gave his suggestions on next actions. He answered all my questions and took care to go through the issues. He gave exact 30min call before his arrival and was done within the hour or so. I will go back to ACC for any future jobs!

Frequently Asked Questions

How Often Does My Home Air Conditioner / Split System Need To Be Re-Gassed?

In reality, your air conditioning system will never need to be re-gassed. Each system is pre-installed with the correct amount and won’t need to be topped up during its lifetime. The refrigerant gas used in air conditioners is extremely harmful to the environment and can also be hazardous to humans. In fact, re-gassing an air conditioner is illegal unless your system has a leak.

Why Do I Need A Gas Recharge And Leak Repair On My Air Conditioner?

Because refrigerant gas is hazardous to your health and bad for the environment, it’s essential to call a technician as soon as possible for leak repair. If you notice or suspect a leak in your air conditioner, turn it off, leave the area, and contact a licensed technician in your area, like the team at Alliance Climate Control. Poor installation is the most common cause of gas leaks, so if you’re having an air conditioner installed, make sure you hire a professional.
